 AMI-INDOCHINA02- 13D - Vietnam to Cambodia 13 days

Day 1: Arrival Ha Noi ( Meals : D)
 

Hoan Kiem Lake - Ha noi- A warm welcome by our tour guide at Noi Bai Airport. Car will pick you up then transfer you to your hotel in the city for refreshing.
- In the afternoon, the tour will guide you to Literature Temple which is known as the first University of Viet Nam. Continue to Visit Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son Temple.
- A 45 minute cycle tour to visit old quarter before going to the water puppet show. Welcome dinner will be served at Koto Restaurant at 59 Van Mieu Street, Dong Da Street.
- Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 2: Ha Noi – Ha Long ( Meals: B/L)
 

Ha Long Bay - Vietnam- Check out around 8:00AM. Just take your necessary thing for two days trip in Ha Long Bay, do not forget your swimsuit and jacket. You can leave your heavy luggage at Hotel.
- A short city tour in Ha Noi to visit the Ethnology Museum, one pillar pagoda and the stilt house of Ho Chi Minh from which he conducted much of the American war, and Ba Dinh Square, where he delivered the Declaration of Independence in 1945.
- Lunch at local restaurant.
- Continue your drive to Ha Long.
- Overnight in Ha Long.

Day 3: Ha Long – Ha Noi ( Meals: B/ L)
 

Ha Long Bay - Vietnam- After breakfast at hotel, take 4 hours boat trip for Ha Long Bay. You will admire of the beautiful landscapes. Tour included to visit some caves as Sung Sot cave, Dau Go cave...
- Back to shore around noon. Lunch then drive back to Ha Noi.
- Arrive Ha Noi around 4:30’. Check in Hotel.
- Rest of the day is free at leisure.
- Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 4: Ha Noi – Da Nang – Hoi An ( Meals: B/D )
 

Hoi An - Vietnam- Morning free.
- Pick up at 9:45 AM and transfer to the airport for the flight to Da Nang.
- ( 12:10 – 13:25)
- Pick up at Da Nang Airport and transfer for Hoi An.
- Visit Cham Museum on the way.
- Arrive Hoi An, check in Hotel then starts to explore Hoi An ancient town with many ancient houses, Pagodas, the Japanese bridge and the life of local people.
- The old city of Hoi An previously known as Faifo is a photographer’s dream with Japanese, Chinese and colonial architecture adding to its character and is a wonderful shopping place that is famous for locally-made clothing.
- Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 5: Hoi An ( Meals: B /L )
 

Hoi An - Vietnam- At 8am our local guide meets you at the meeting place from there we ride by bicycle to a local farm in Tra Que village. Here you will have a brief introduction to the history of the village, the cultivation of the vegetables as well as discovering about the use of vegetables in traditional Vietnamese medicine.
- You will take a trip around the vegetable garden and join the farmers in preparing the land and fertilizing it with seaweed from the local lake. Continue doing activities such as: raking, sowing, as well as watering and picking greens and many more gardening activities. Then spend the rest of the morning working the land in the time honoured way, before breaking to prepare lunch with a local family. Your lunch will consist of many local delicacies including ‘Tam huu' spring rolls and Banh xeo the local pancake of the people from the middle region.
- Back to hotel.
- Rest of the day is free at leisure.
- Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6: Hoi An – Hue ( Meals: B/D)
 

Hue - Vietnam- Morning drive to Hue via Da Nang, Lang co beach.
- In the afternoon, there is a short trip to visit The King’s Tombs as Minh Mang, Tu Duc, or the Khai Dinh’ tomb.
- Dinner on cruise on the Perfume River with traditional performance, royal meals,. You can try to wear the royal clothes to become King, Queen, Princess or Prince.
- Overnight in Hue.

Day 7: Hue – Saigon ( Meals: B/L)
 

Thien Mu Pagoda- Morning boat trip to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. Besides being one of main religion in Viet Nam, Thien Mu Pagoda has represented the Vietnamese culture and history.
- Continue to visit the Citadel.
- The Citadel Complex of Hue, set up by Nguyen Dynasty from 1805 to 1945, is now one amongst the relics of the Hue ancient Capital – the world cultural heritage.
- Situated on the Northern bank of the Perfume River, with an area of 500 ha and a system of three circles of ramparts, namely from outside to inside: Kinh Thanh (Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel).
- Late lunch at local restaurant.
- Back to Hotel for resting before check out for the flight to Saigon. ( 17:00 – 18:20)
- Arrive Saigon at 18:20 PM.
- Pick up and transfer to Hotel.
- Overnight in Saigon.

Day 8 : Cu Chi – City Tour (Meals: B/L)
 

Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh City- Breakfast at Hotel and then, you will visit Cu Chi tunnels - well-known with their tunnel system which contains more than 200 km of underground tunnels. These tunnels were made during the time of Vietnamese and American war. It has become a historic site nowadays for tourist with its historical stories.
- As it is around 70km from Saigon, you will enjoy the scenery along the trip and able to see the rubber tree forests or the green fields and the daily life of people in this area.
- Back to Saigon for late lunch.
- In the afternoon, visit Independent Palace, War Museum, Notre Dame Church, the Main Post office.
- Overnight in Saigon.

Day 9: Saigon – Cai Be – Can Tho ( Mekong Delta) (Meals: B/L/D)
 

Mekong Delta - Vietnam- Breakfast at hotel then leave around 8 : 30 AM for your 2 days Mekong Delta trip.
- Nearly 140 km drive for today for Cai Be, a small town which is belong to Tien Giang Province.
- Arrival Cai Be around 11:00 AM.
- Embark a boat trip at Cai Be pier. First visit is the ancient house where you will have lunch. That is an old -century house with a very nice bonsai garden in front yard. It is surrounding with a large orchard which is plenty of grapefruit, orange and mandarin trees, often heavy with fruits.
- After lunch, continue the boat trip to visit some family workshops where the people make rice paper, “ com” , brewed wine rice…walking in the village to see the day life of southern people.
- Visit the fish farm where people breeds the cat fish.
- Back to Cai Be. Car pick you up and drive to Can Tho.
- Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 10: Can Tho – Saigon – Siem Reap (Meals: B/L)
 

- Boat trip in early morning for Cai Rang floating market. You will have chance to see how the people in Mekong Delta purchases their products.
- Back to hotel and do check out and drive directly to the Airport for the flight to Siem Reap.
- Your lunch will be served at local restaurant.
- You should be at the airport around 16:45 PM.
- Arrive Siem Reap.
- Upon arrive at airport (19:45 – 20: 45) you will welcome by tour guide and transfer to hotel for check in.
- Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Siem Reap ( Meals: B,L)
 

Siem Reap - Cambodia- Breakfast will be at hotel. Driver to visit to Roluos Group. The monuments of Roluos, which served as the capital of Indravaraman I (reigned 877-89), are among the earliest large, permanent temples built by the Khmer classical art. Preah Ko, erected by Indavaraman I in the late 9th century and dedicated by the King to his ancestors in 880- Bakhong, the largest and the most interesting of the Roluos group temples, with his active Buddhist monastery just to the north of the east entrance Lolei, the four brick towers are replicas of the ones at Preah Kho, built on an islet in the center of large reservoir by Yasovarman I the founder of the first city of Angkor. Then visit Soul of Cambodia: Meaningfully translating into “The soul of cambodia”, Prolung Khmer strives to revive the ancient Khmer crafts of cotton weaving and pottery making as it provides skills training to marginalized young Cambodian women at the same time. Drive back to town for Lunch will be at local.
- Afternoon, Visit the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk) the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century) and visit Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace Chau Say Thevoda.

Day 12: Siem Reap ( Meals: B/L)
 

- In the morning visit to Banteay Srei, the beautiful ‘Women’s Citadel’. Located 32 kms. From Siem Reap town, this was Cambodia's last major Khmer temple to be re-discovered, then visit the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple which is embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, spend your experience to visit traditional herbal pharmacist.

Day 13: Departure
 

- In the morning, visit Les Artisans D’ Angkor and see their stone and wood carving workshops where the artisans are taught to use traditional Khmer techniques. A cruise around the workshops, will details you how craftsmen master ancient crafts, such as lacquer work, stone and woodcarving as well as silk painting. With painstaking care, they reproduce many statues, bas relief and paintings inspired by original models then transfer to airport for departure back.
