The Northeast Vietnam
attached with French-war period. Driving through provinces near
China border such as Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Bac Kan... you will have
chance to see the most beautiful Ban Gioc waterfall, the biggest
natural BaBe lake, the old battlefield along Highway No 4 and so
forth. Different type of hill tribe people.
It has potentiality of
mineral, forestry, tourism and trading. Star aniseed is a specialty.
The province is proud of many culture and historical vestiges. They
are Rampart of Mac Dynasty, Doan Citadel Vestige, Chi Lang Defile,
Ky Cung and Bac Le temples. Apart of these, Ky Lua Market, To Thi
and Mau Son mountains, Tam Thanh, and Nhi Thanh grottoes also
attract many visitors every year.
Cao Bang Province:
Famous sites include
Thang Hen Mountainous Lake in Tra Linh, Ban Gioc Fall and Nguom Ngao
Cave in Trung Khanh. Among of them, Ban Gioc Fall probably is one of
most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam. Several sites where Uncle Ho
lived and worked before the August 1945 Revolution include Pac Bo,
Coc Bo Cave, Lenin Stream, and Khuoi Nam Stream.
Bac Kan Province:
Bac Kan has natural of
mineral and forest, especially primitive forests with rich of flora
and faune. Aside that, natural gives the province many interesting
sights such as Ba Be National Park, Dau Dang Waterfall, Ba Be Lake,
Puong Cave. Bac Kan used to be a cradle of Vietnam revolution so it
has many revolutionary relics as ATK in there.
Yen Bai Province:
It is large forest
ranges supply valuable pomu, lat hoa, cho chi wood. Van Yen
cinnamon, Suoi Giang tea, Tu Le glutinous rice are special products.
The province owns well-known stone-pit in Luc Yen, too.Yen Bai has
artificial Thac Ba Lake, a scenic spot as well as a historical
place. The lake consists of 1,331 hill-islands, varies vegetation
cover and a diverse ecological setting.
